According to the Basic Law of the State, a person, life and health, honor and dignity, inviolability and security are recognized in Ukraine as the highest social value. Today, in the ongoing war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the team of AMOSOV NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF CARDIOVASCULAR SURGERY works and supports the state policy of preserving the highest value – human life.
According to the official address of the Institute, the Institution “since the beginning of its establishment has been fighting cardiovascular pathologies by constantly improving techniques, skills and collective potential for the benefit of its people. Given the horrific events that are currently taking place in our homeland, in particular, the bloody occupation of surrounding cities near Kyiv, it is not possible to provide full medical care to the needy. We cannot risk the highest value – life, when transporting patients to our institution. Therefore, we decided to quickly deploy highly specialized cardiac surgery using the human resources and resources of our institution in centers that are located in the safest regions where patients can reach.
Currently, AMOSOV NICS specialists, in order to restore as soon as possible a full-fledged planned surgical treatment, both for adults and children, are rapidly studying the possibility of providing cardiac surgery at hospitals:
